Day 1

Auckland, New Zealand

Your first day in New Zealand is yours to spend as you wish. You'll arrive in the city of Auckland on the North Island, and once you get checked into the ocean-facing Hilton, you can walk five minutes away to visit the Viaduct, a part of the city overflowing with restaurant options. Check out Auckland Domain, the city's oldest park that is based around an extinct volcano, or simply sit back and enjoy the view of superyachts floating by from your room before the real excitement begins the following day.

Days 2-3

Lake Taupo, New Zealand

The next morning, the journey beings. On your way to Taupo Lake, you'll stop off at the Waitomo Caves for some black water rafting. Tube through these famous caves while peering at glow-worms, jump off a waterfall, and zoom down a hydro-slide. You'll be more than ready to arrive at Acacia Cliffs Lodge on Lake Taupo later that day. Here, spend the next two nights exploring Acacia Bay and the surrounding landscapes and culture. One of the highlights will be meeting Delani Brown, a master carver of his Taupo-based Tuwharetoa tribe. Carvers are only second in importance to the chief in this culture, and a visit with Brown is always something our guests remember as something special.

Days 4-6

Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand

Your next destination, The Manse, is only a two hours drive away. One of the original Hawke's Bay homes built on a hill for the local vicar in 1910, The Manse has since been moved to its present site with dramatic views across the Heretaunga Plains. Rich in history, The Manse will be your basecamp for exploring the eastern coast of the North Island. Due to the fertile nature of this area, the Heretaunga Plains are responsible for the production of more than half of New Zealand's fruit and vegetables. Embrace the local agriculture and take a self-guided wine tour by bike, visiting more than 10 local wineries. Afterward, kick back in the pool after a hard day's tasting the fruits of the region.

Days 7-9

Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand

Next up is Lochmara Lodge on the South Island, where you'll spend three nights right on the water's edge. Surrounded by the bush-clad hills of the Marlborough Sounds, Lochmara presides over its own sandy beach with a bundle of activities waiting for you to take advantage of. Cruise with a Maori skipper on Queen Charlotte Sound, hike around the property observing the unique flora and fauna, and spy for dolphins and orcas that come right into the calm waters of Lochmara Bay. If you're lucky, chances are high that you'll even be able to swim with the dolphins. After a full day of action-packed exploration, sit back in one of the many hammocks adorning porches throughout the property.

Days 10-13

Queenstown, New Zealand

All too soon, you'll arrive in the humming city of Queenstown for the final three nights of your stay in New Zealand. Built around an inlet on Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown has come to be defined internationally by adventure, and that's exactly what you're here to do. Take a tour of Milford Sound by helicopter for astounding views of mountainous peaks, waterfalls, and glaciers. You might even touch down if conditions allow. The next two days, embark on self-guided hikes in the area and enjoy a multitude of bars and restaurants nearby the plush Queenstown Park Hotel. Chances are you'll find yourself wishing for a few more days to explore this otherworldly place before boarding the plane home.
