There are so many ways to see Australia that sometimes you can find yourself in a paradox of choice. Let us take out the guesswork.

This 11-day itinerary through New South Wales packs in a little bit of everything that makes the Land Down Under a bucket list destination for everyone this side of the equator. You'll stay at the best base camps on the continent while ticking off some of Australia's wildest adventures by day, such as climbing the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and surfing world-famous Byron Bay, the highlight of your stay. Finally, wind up in the mystical Greater Blue Mountain World Heritage Area where you'll relax in your private villa, spying for kangaroos beneath the cliffs of Wolgan Valley. This is another of our epic Australian trips, and as always, it's entirely customizable to your every whim and wish.

Days 1, 2, 3

The first part of your Australian trilogy begins in Sydney, where you'll revel in the excitement and vitality of this action-packed city. Often travelers fly through Sydney in a mad dash and miss out on the sights, sounds, and tastes of the capital of New South Wales. Give it the attention it deserves with three days spent scaling the Sydney Harbour Bridge, sailing along the coast in a chartered yacht, and stopping by cultural delights like Australia's first church and the famous Opera House. Each night you'll relax in Sydney's historic Rocks district at the Langham. With just enough time shared with first-class guides and plenty left to explore on your own, you'll feel quite at home in the Harbour City.

Days 4, 5, 6, 7

Byron Bay is a famous Australian destination in its own right, and for good reason. This coastal beach town is known for epic surf breaks and beautiful scuba and dive spots. And while it's a hit with tourists, there is only one world-class beachfront resort—Elements of Byron. Spend the next four nights here at the ultimate beach-side base camp, filling your days with micro-adventures launched right from the front door. Ride horses along the beach, snorkel around Julian Rocks Marine Reserve, photograph 330-foot Minyon Falls, and of course, surf to your heart's content, no matter your level of experience.

Days 8, 9, 10

Voted the number one hotel in Australia on Trip Advisor, Emirates Wolgan Valley is a premier destination for the Outside traveler. A short drive away from Sydney, this 7,000-acre reserve in the Greater Blue Mountain World Heritage Area is home to the Wolgan River and neighbors Wollemi and the Gardens of Stone National Parks. The area is steeped in history, including a visit by Charles Darwin in 1836 and the culture of four distinct Aboriginal nations who still share the territory to this day. During your three nights here you can expect sensational accommodations in your free-standing villa, five-star guides, and a plethora of activities to choose from daily. Ride horses along meandering trails, spend an afternoon at that lavish spa, and learn about the conservation efforts and culture of the area with tours. Each day begins with a misty morning and ends with sundowners beneath the staggering cliffs of Wolgan Valley. The perfect scene for the trip of a lifetime.
