Days 1, 2

Before you jet off to into the blue to explore Australia’s island wonders there are a few iconic Sydney experiences you need to check off your list first. In the historic Rocks District, full of cobblestone cul-de-sacs and inviting pubs, you’ll find your Sydney accommodations. The Langham brings you a sophisticated and luxurious basecamp for the start of your Aussie adventure. A private driving tour takes you to see the best of Sydney’s best. Ice cream at Bondi Beach, strolling the magnificent Botanical Gardens, and a yacht cruise around Sydney Harbour will fill your day.

Days 3, 4, 5

Lord Howe Island

Lord Howe Island is over 300 miles from the coast of Australia and a world away from anything you’ll have experienced before. With a majority of the island’s area being essentially untouched tropical forest, and boasting flora and fauna not seen anywhere else in the world, this is a true wilderness playground. Your home in this magical place is Capella Lodge, a pinnacle in the world of luxe resorts. The island’s mountain twins rise dramatically above the lodge, creating an impressive backdrop for your explorations. Discover rich green forests, relax on tranquil white beaches, snorkel the unique wonders of the reef, or bike around the island like a local to see what life is like for the 360 people who call this paradise home.

Days 6, 7

Tasmania is one of the last unexplored frontiers in the Southern Hemisphere. With everything from wombats to whales, mountain biking to coastal safaris, Tasmania (also known as the Island of Inspiration and “Tassie” to the locals) is truly a bucket list destination. To start off your Tasmanian adventure you’ll find yourself in it’s capital, Hobart. Islington Hotel, your base for the next two nights, is a boutique retreat offering history, style, and stunning gardens as well as some of the city’s finest views of Mt. Wellington. The ever popular Tasman Peninsula is yours to explore; visit the historic town of Richmond, meet Tasmania’s enigmatic character, the Tasmanian Devil, and trek the rugged coastline. Take in the vibrant city culture in the evenings, picking new restaurants to take a go at.

Days 8, 9, 10

Freycinet Peninsula

Everyone can agree that after a week of solid exploration in Tasmania, some R&R is in order. That’s why we recommend three nights at the out-of-this-world Saffire Freycinet lodge at the end of your journey (you can thank us later). This architecturally magnificent lodge was built to mirror the surrounding beauty of the east coast—both the Hazards Range and the ocean below. Your days here will be bookended by kayaking Coles Bay, enjoying private picnics on the beach, and sailing along the coast to see the Island of Inspiration from an entirely new perspective
